Pair of early Victorian gilded tureen serving dishes




A particularly pretty pair of early Victorian tureen entree dishes with gilded laurel wreath and ribbon handles by Wm Fairbairns & Sons Circa 1860s.

This rare and collectable pair of serving dishes is by the early Victorian English porcelain manufacturer William Fairbairns who was based in Hanley, Staffordshire. His pieces are not prolific but were of the finest quality. This pair of dishes are extremely useable today even though over 150 years old, but not for the dishwasher!
