Description

A truly outstanding, massive and rare 19th Century English epergne centrepiece, Circa 1890.

Made by Richardson, Stourbridge, of hand blown alabaster glass this highly decorative piece is made in three interlocking sections with the top section entwined by an applied serpent. The tall central trumpet stands on a circular base surrounded by 3 horn shaped gilded flower holders. Each flower holder is removable for easy cleaning and it is both stunning filled with flowers or stands alone as an elegant decorative piece.

There are some small chips which are hidden by the three pink flower horns and the tiny end of the snake tail which are to be expected for a piece of this age and use. None are particularly noticeable on this highly decorative piece.
