An excellent quality original Art Deco English silver plated and glass cocktail shaker acid etched with a cockerel, by James Dixon, Sheffield, Circa 1920. This large piece of vintage barware is stamped to say it holds 1.5 pints of liquid.
James Dixon was one of the great English silversmiths of the 19th and early 20th Centuries, renowned for creating good quality barware. His hall mark is always to be found in the lid of the cocktail shaker (see images).
