This is an iconic Art Deco silver plated 'bell' cocktail shaker, by Asprey, London. The base is stamped 'A & Co Asprey London 3447, Made in England, Prov. Patent No 12739/37 RegD No 820231' which indicates the date as 1937. In good original condition.
The handle unscrews to fill the base and once shaken, the top cork unscrews to allow the cocktail to pour through the strainer. This is a sensational, decorative piece.
