Large handblown oval vase by James Hogan, circa 1940.
This impressive Art Deco handblown crystal vase was designed by James Hogan for Whitefriars in 1940.
James Hogan was one of the several designers who realised the commercial successes of connecting art to industry.
Although Hogan designed stained glass windows for much of his 50-year career, he was a significant contributor to British blown glassware during the 1930s into the 1940s.
This beautiful oval vase has a fluid, lobed form and looks totally stunning with or without flowers. It can also be used as a sculpture.
A highly decorative piece, which shall catch the light wonderfully and looks different from every angle.
