A superb and unusual extra large free-blown crystal glass vase designed by Antonio and Guido Bon for Val Saint Lambert, Belgium, Circa 1950. The final image is a page from the 1957 Val Saint Lambert catalogue with the vase design circled.
Antonio and his brother Guido Bon trained at glassworks in Murano. Influenced by the Modernist movement, in the 1950s and 1960s they worked as designers for Val Saint Lambert, creating fluid, abstract designs hand wrought and shaped from the fine crystal Val Saint Lambert were already renowned from. These Modernist designs remain stylish in 21st Century, forming sculptural but usable vases.
