Tania Fawcett is The Vintage Entertainer. The daughter of two antique and fine art dealers, she grew up to the sound of the auctioneer's gavel and the smell of silver polish.
Escaping to the bright lights of London, she forged a career specialising in international luxury brands. Initially working for HRH The Duke of Edinburgh in his private office at Buckingham Palace, then Couturier, Anouska Hempel. She moved in-house to Garrard The Crown Jewellers, becoming their Head of Marketing. Here she spent as much time as she could talking to the excellent in-house experts, learning about antique jewellery and silver in particular.
In 1996 she moved to a renowned fashion Public Relations agency heading up the luxury brands division as Deputy Managing Director. Collecting clients appealed to her magpie instincts and over ten years she was lucky enough to work on some of the most interesting and renowned brands in the world including Krug Champagne, De Beers, Jaguar, Vogue, Versace and Bvlgari amongst so many others.
Her final time in London was spent at luxury interior designers and property developers, Candy & Candy. Here she oversaw, as Head of Marketing and PR, the promotion of One Hyde Park and the Candy & Candy brand before moving with her husband and children to the Cotswolds and briefly studying interior design in Bath. The Vintage Entertainer is the culmination of Tania's passion for fabulous things and she is pleased to offer an eclectic collection of antique and vintage design finds, with particular emphasis on old English silver plate and European 20th Century glass. June 2018 saw the opening of a showroom at Lorfords Hanger One just outside Tetbury at Babdown Airfield GL8 8YL. Open six days a week 9.30-17.30 (by appointment Sunday).
