An outstanding example of an Art Nouveau design German silver plated ice bucket with unusual mechanical ice tongs, and ice melt tray, late 19th Century/early 20th Century. This impressively pretty swing handle ice bucket has embossed, heart shaped leaves and a bark affect handle. With the stamp Alpaca to the base - this was the term used by some German manufacturers in the 19th Century as a base for their silver plating.
