A superb canteen of Georgian hallmarked silver and agate handled knives and forks for 12 guests, all with makers mark for MB, date letter R for 1813. Each silver blade has been engraved with an armorial crest. The knives and forks come in their original green baize-lined wooden canteen and there is an old receipt from Sotheby’s auction house in Pulborough, Sussex from an historical sale. One of the forks is a similar replacement with hallmarks for Chawner & Co 1847. Rare to find a set for 12 people in such good condition with no chips to the agate.
