Set of 19th Century glass ‘Rinser’ bowls

A chic set of eight early 19th Century, Georgian Circa 1820s, slice cut glass 'Rinsers'.

The Georgian dining table was never short of kit... rinser bowls were placed along the table, full of warm water. As each wine course changed, guests would 'rinse' their wine glass clean, ready for the next delicious wines to be poured. The lip at each end was to allow the stem of the glass to rest securely.

They make brilliant individual salad bowls!
